Making travel simple

You’ve made the decision – you’re ready for adventure.

You’ve talked with people you know and done your own research, but now you’re more confused than ever.

Do you need a 4WD? Where will you sleep? How will you pack everything up, and what is everything anyway?

How much will it all cost????   Is it safe????

Keep your money for your adventures

We can help you cut through the crap and focus on what you really need so you can do what you really want.

We know that keeping it simple is the secret to better travel.

And we know that you can travel to lots of places without a big 4WD and all the trimmings.

There’s a lot of advice out there, and a lot of products. They all sound great, and sound like something you might need. It can be hard to know what is best for you.

Whether you’re new to travelling and 4WDing, or whether you’re ready to take the next step in being more adventurous, we can help you

Kath Swinbourne

Kath is one of Australia’s best known solo female travellers. She has crossed the Simpson Desert twice on her own, with just her and her Suzuki Vitara. And a wild dingo for company one night. She’s one of the few women to have driven the Old Tele Track from beginning to end. Travelling in a car as small as the Suzuki means keeping everything simple, and easy.

Kath’s passion is helping other women to have their own adventures. Whatever their age & experience. Kath knows that outback travel doesn’t have to be difficult and blokey. It can be glamourous, comfortable, and above all – fun. She also knows there are things that only women know about and understand.

She still feels like Roald Dahl’s Danny, Champion of the World, every time she sets out on her own:

I will not pretend I wasn’t petrified. I was. But mixed in with the awful fear was a glorious feeling of excitement. Most of the really exciting things we do in our lives scare us to death. They wouldn’t be exciting if they didn’t

Damien Lowry

Damien is a mechanic, and a bush mechanic. He can fix almost anything, almost anywhere. Damien has set up four of his own vehicles for outback travel, as well as friends’ cars and campers. He’s been travelling the outback for over 30 years so he knows that the simpler the set up, the easier and more enjoyable the travel. And the easier it is to fix if something goes wrong. He’s been on the end of phone providing practical support more than once when things go wrong in Kath’s solo trips. Damien has done some of Australia’s toughest 4wd tracks – the Canning Stock Route, Old Telegraph Track, Simpson Desert, Frenchmans Track.
